Martin, Form II, Nairobi School

"I am from a poor family. I struggled a lot to gain the marks I got since some times there wasn’t fuel for night studying after dark."

Martin is from a remote village in the Eastern Province of Kenya where his parents struggle to find work. He worked hard to achieve excellent marks on his secondary school entrance exams despite not having fuel to study at night. He would rise at 4:00 to head to school so he could begin studying.

He enjoys handball and looks forward to achieving his goals in high school.
