Kennedy, Form IV, Starehe Boys' Centre

"[During primary school], I studied hard with a vision of joining Starehe Boys' Centre. Here I am--my vision has been fulfilled. I still have a vision of becoming a pilot. I thank God for everything he has done for me."

Kennedy grew up in the Korogocho slum in Nairobi, and he has shared in the hardships endemic to children growing up in the Kenyan slums. His father passed away when Kennedy was a small boy, and his mother is ill, leaving Kennedy to take great responsibility for his younger brother and step-brother.

He is characterized by his quiet humility, and he attends Form III at Starehe Boys' Centre with his classmate and fellow Starfish, Alfonce. Kennedy enjoys athletics a great deal and splits his competitive efforts between soccer, volleyball, and badminton.
